Lisa Noland becomes new Executive Director for CHOICES, Inc.

 

Anchorage, Alaska – Consumers Having Ownership in Creating Effective Services (CHOICES) is proud to announce that Lisa Noland has accepted the position of Executive Director. Ms. Noland was chosen from a national field of applicants to lead CHOICES, Inc.’s peer-supported, holistic approach to care integrating both clinical and alternative options that promote individual choice and whole person wellness.

Ms. Noland comes to CHOICES, Inc. from The Arc of Anchorage, where she served most recently as the Corporate Compliance Officer but has also served as the agency’s Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Specialized Services. Between her executive positions at The Arc of Anchorage, Ms. Noland also served as the Grants and Program Director for Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis (AWAIC).

“Our selection of Lisa sends a clear and powerful message of our continued commitment to reducing the stigma around mental health and recovery,” said CHOICES, Inc. Board President Eliza Eller.

“I am distinctly honored to have been chosen as the Executive Director of CHOICES, Inc. which will provide me the opportunity to serve alongside a deeply talented and dedicated staff and board of directors,” says Noland. “The services provided by this excellent organization are timely and will continue to grow in relevance as CHOICES, Inc. provides Alaskans options for services from which they choose to achieve recovery and wellness,” she added.

Ms. Noland holds a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Walden University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Pacific Union College in California.  She is currently enrolled at Walden University to complete her Doctorate in Public Administration with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. She starts her new position November 11.
