Job Title: Psychiatric Prescriber

Job Type: Exempt

Candidate Experience:

  1. Patience, creativity, flexibility, compassion, and sensitivity to persons with disabilities and other minority
  2. Must be either one of the following:
    • Licensed Physician by the State of Alaska who is a Board certified Psychiatrist, or Registered Nurse by State of Alaska Board of Nursing, OR
    • Licensed as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by State of Alaska, OR
    • MS in Nursing
  3. Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing
  4. Experience or training in community
  5. Experience with dual diagnosis population preferred
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Knowledge of AKAIMS (State Medicaid Portal) preferred, but not required
  8. Valid Alaska driver’s license with own transportation

  9. Certificate in Peer Advocacy.

Job Title: ICM Recovery Coordinator

Job Type: Non-Exempt

Candidate Experience: 

(Any equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

  1. Requires an Associates in Human Services or the skills, knowledge and abilities equivalent to the completion of a two year degree in Human Services
  2. Former consumer of mental health services with a minimum of 2 consecutive years in recovery (living, learning, and / or working).
  3. Requires 2 years of related work and/or volunteer experience.
  4. Knowledge of public mental health and/or co-occurring disorder services.
  5. Ability to organize; prioritize; and schedule work assignments.
  6. Personal understanding of Psychosocial Rehab Model and Peer Support Model.
  7. Ability to work independently, as a team member, and/or a team leader.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
  9. Knowledge of case management theory and practice.
  10. Knowledge of patient confidentiality and HIPAA.
  11. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Outlook
  12. Knowledge of AKAIMS preferred, but not required.
  13. Ability to work with individuals to engage them in recovery activities that lead to quality of life—living, learning, and working.

All volunteers are required to demonstrate competencies to provide services within the role and scope of their volunteer position. Volunteers can participate in different programs within the organization. Some of those roles are as follows:
