Traditionally the very nature of the accusation that one is mentally ill tears away the cloak of humanity and creates a frightening image of a character who is less than human and as such can be subjected to coerced inhumane treatment.

There are many reasons to believe that there is a better way. Together we can pursue joyful productive lives which celebrate the indivuality of each of us without denying the liberty dignity and humanity of any of us.

We all are people and we should have a choice in our way of life and way of thinking and course of treatment.  Anything less is an injustice.
